"Gracia" means grace in Spanish. When we first started working in Guatemala, we noticed that the concept of God's grace was lacking in many Christian faith communities. Due to a deeply ingrained works-based Catholic history, many individuals struggle with understanding the concept of God's grace in our area. At Gracia Ministries, we strive to reflect the grace of God in our teachings, our interactions with others, and in our personal lives. 

 

Gracia Ministries has a worship academy located in Masagua, Escuintla, Guatemala. At the worship academy, children of all ages enter into times of free worship, explore the creative arts, attend a discipleship program, and have the opportunity to engage in worship through dance, song, art, and music. The children learn about their TRUE identity in Christ and about God's love and grace for each of them.

The focus of the worship academy is raising up children to be worshippers who impact their communities. "I am clean," "I am chosen," "I am powerful," and "I am a child of God" are the four identity statements that we teach our children and serve as a basis for our teachings.

Gracia Ministries also goes outside the walls of the worship academy to hold community events, teacher training workshops, art workshops, and medical outreach clinics.
